What now, Berlin?

For one week, from August 20th to 25th, Xiaowen Zhu works at the Flutgraben Art Factory, the largest artist-run space in Kreuzberg, Berlin, as part of the Occupy Flutgraben–Open Call intervention. She installed her work The Details Are Invented, a video installation piece reflecting on the gentrification in London and will moderate a panel discussion on artists and gentrification on Saturday, August 25th, at 7pm. The Open Call brings together 50 artists (out of 1000 submissions) who have lost their studios due to the ongoing gentrification.
