Panel Discussion: The Details Are Invented
03 August, 2017, 7pm
The Details Are Invented – Panel Discussion with food + drink from outlets local to the Brunswick Centre.
Please join us for a panel discussion with artist Xiaowen Zhu; curator and editor Franscesca Girelli; architect, lecturer and former resident of the Brunswick Centre, Adrian Friend; and Julie Hill, artist and curator of the Passengers exhibition series. The conversation will reflect on themes contained in Xiaowen Zhu’s multi-channel video installation ‘The Details Are Invented’ such as urban development, gentrification, the ongoing housing crisis and how an individual – native or international – can make his or her home in ‘a city that’s always on the go, always in the middle of becoming something else’. Refreshments from local food outlets will be served including a specially conceived pizza from local restaurant Pizza Sophia. Free but booking essential. Please email info@passen-gers.co.uk to reserve your place.
